    OTHER NEWS

-I need you to sign your complete name on all papers, not initials. I’ve already had students signing for their parents and initials are too easy to imitate. Thank you for doing this. It saves a lot of frustration. You should be looking for this homework sheet EVERY NIGHT. Sometimes there are papers stapled to it that also have to be signed or an important message written on it.

-Please remember to get your child a magazine file, wallet, and 3 by 5 lined file cards. They can also bring a pillow to sit on as well as a water bottle. There are still 4 students without a mag file and it is a very important tool that helps us with organization.

    - I hope that some of the grades students got last week made a big impression on them. I am STILL having a very difficult time getting some to listen and follow directions. I’ve told them that they have to be responsible for learning. There are still quite a few that haven’t figured that out yet. I appreciate the actions that some of you have taken to help your child with this!

-I will be sending the results of the STAR Reading and Math tests home this week.

***If your child misses school, please call the office before 9:00 to let Brooke know. Also PLEASE try to make arrangements to get the work s/he missed.

-Please let me know if you are reading this newsletter. REMEMBER TO WRITE A NOTE ON YOUR CHILD’S HOMEWORK SHEET ABOUT SOMETHING YOU READ IN THE NEWSLETTER.
