I have worked in the Social work field for 16 years, At Washington Middle School I provide individual and group counseling to students in need. I promote positive mental health throughout the district and attend to crisis situations. I play an active role in PBIS and assist with behavior intervention. Currently, I am teaching Second Step (our social-emotional learning curriculum) to all Washington students. Here is a link that explains the Second Step program. https://video.link/

I have worked in education for over 10 years and love working in this field.
Fun fact: I worked and lived at a boarding school for 6 years. I lived and cared for 18 teenage girls for an entire school year, 6 years in a row. That is where I gained most of my knowledge of working with students. I am still in contact with most of them.
