Johnston City High School seniors and their parents/guardians are invited to attend FAFSA Completion Night on Wednesday, October 1, at 6:00 p.m. in the JCHS Commons.
Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is not only the first step toward qualifying for financial aid, scholarships, and grants — it is also a graduation requirement for seniors.
To support families in this important process, a representative from the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) will be on hand to provide guidance and answer questions. In addition to assisting seniors with this year’s application, the ISAC representative will also discuss the FAFSA requirement changes that begin with the Class of 2026.
Families attending should plan to bring a device (phone, Chromebook, laptop, etc.) to complete the FAFSA during the session. Students and parents/guardians are also asked to create an FSA ID at least 1–3 days prior to the event. FSA IDs can be created online at https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/launch.
