Responsibility

Each month at Washington Middle School, we focus on a character trait that helps our students grow not only academically, but also socially and emotionally. For the month of September, our Character Word of the Month is Responsibility—which we define as being accountable for your own actions at school, work, and home.

Throughout the month, students will explore what responsibility looks like in their daily lives, from completing assignments and managing time, to helping at home and making thoughtful choices. We encourage you to join us in reinforcing this important value by talking with your child about ways they can show responsibility at home and in their community.

Together, we can help our students build strong character and become confident, capable individuals.

Thank you for your partnership!
