Washington Middle School will be hosting the Promotion Ceremony for our 8th grade students on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 @ 6:00pm.
This ceremony will be for eligible 8th grade students and their families. The ceremony will be held at the JCHS Gymnasium.
Here are the details of the ceremony:
Students need to arrive between 5:30 pm and 5:45 pm. Students report to the cafeteria during this time. The gym doors will be open at 5:15 pm for parents and family.
Students will have pictures made during practice on Tuesday morning by the photographer. The picture will be in the student promotion packets. Picture stations will be set up for families to be able to take pictures after the ceremony as well.
Students will need to wear their promotion T-Shirt along with any medals or cords they received during Honors Day.
8th grade students who are promoted to high school will not need to attend school on May 20th unless they have items that need to be picked up. Report cards will be included in the promotion packet.
We are planning on making this event something big and exciting for our 8th grade students! Please encourage your family, friends, and well wishers to come out and congratulate our students during this event!
