
🧩 Teamwork in action at Washington Middle School! 🧩
In anticipation of the upcoming Puzzle Race sponsored by the Johnston City Public Library this Thursday night, reading classes at WMS competed in their own race.
All teams attempted to complete the same 300 piece puzzle within 30 minutes, and these six students finished in just under 30 minutes!

Just a heads up -- the first WMS Golf Practice is tomorrow, March 18th from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at Washington School.


It's the last regular Volleyball game of the season, and it's a home game against the West Frankfort Red Birds!
Come out and show your support wearing our school colors -- Black and Red! The action starts at 6 p.m.

WOW! We're up to our 4th Volleyball game of the week. We have a home match tonight against Unity Point starting at 5 p.m.
It's a special game since its 8th grade night. A time to recognize our 8th grade players for their hard work and dedication to the team.
It's also a meaningful evening for parents as they watch their 8th grade child's time at WMS starting to come to an end as they prepare for high school.


All schools have early dismissal today, Friday March 7th, with our elementary schools and middle school letting out at 1:50 p.m. High School students will be dismissed at 2 p.m.
Spring Break is March 10th -14th. 😎😎
We'll return on St. Patrick's Day with a full day of classes, so be sure to wear your green! 🍀

Our Boys Basketball team is competing in Eldorado's 6th Grade tournament, which kicks off this evening and runs through March 9th.
The schedule has our first game up against Gallatin County with tip-off tonight at 7 p.m.


We have a home Volleyball game tonight against the Carterville Lions. It's NEON night, so break out those bring colors and make the home stands COLORFUL!
Originally, 8th grade night was set to take place this evening, but it's now rescheduled to tomorrow, March 7th.


Tomorrow (3/7) is the LAST DAY to order a yearbook! You can send cash/check to the WMS office, or you may order online at inter-state.com/order, using order code 91566B. Cost is $14.

A friendly reminder that tomorrow, March 7th, all schools have early dismissal.
Elementary and Middle School students will be let out at 1:50 p.m. and High School students will be dismissed at 2 p.m.


The Illinois Drill Team Association (IDTA) recognizes WMS student Brilea Warren with a certificate of Scholastic Achievement.
IDTA fosters youth in their talents and skills as performers , but also their success in the classroom.
Warren is being highlighted for her Outstanding Achievement in Pursuit of Academic Excellence.
