Number bonds demonstrate how numbers can be broken down into smaller parts that combine to form a whole. Understanding this concept helps with quick and accurate mental calculations.

🏆 Our Kiowa Quillen is a World Champion 🏆
The JCHS Junior placed 2nd top in the world within the Women's Super Heavy weight class at the 2025 IBJJF PAN Jiu-Jitsu competition. This takes place every year in Kissimmee, Florida, and is part of the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF) line-up that attracts top Jiu-Jitsu athletes worldwide.
This year, the competition hosted 5,000 athletes vying for top three medals in their brackets. Kiowa competed in the adult women portion of the competition as an experienced white belt. Kiowa's first match put her against the 2024 PAN Woman's Super Heavy weight champion. She dominated the match, winning 8-0. 💪💪
This advanced Kiowa to the championship round, facing her previous opponent. She came out strong with a 4-3 lead and two advantage points . Kiowa says she missed gold by moments due to an opportunity her opponent was able to secure, ranking Kiowa 2nd! 🥈
Kiowa recently recovered from a broken rib and one dislocated rib, missing four weeks of training between the end of wrestling season and the PAN competition, "Coming into the competition with only one week back to training lightly, my placing is nothing short of an outstanding achievement that I share with the team of people who helped me reach this level of world-class athletics."
