📸✨ Throwback Thursday! ✨📸

This week, we're shining a spotlight on Mr. Jim, a beloved custodian at Lincoln Elementary School. We're sharing a photo from the 2005–2006 yearbook that offers a glimpse of the hard work, care, and dedication he poured into keeping the school clean, safe, and welcoming for students and staff.

Today, we say a heartfelt thank you to all past and present custodians of Johnston City Schools!

Mrs. Grizzell’s class has been diving into their 4th-grade poetry unit, exploring Haiku writing and reading.

These Lincoln students learned how to craft their own poems using the traditional 5-7-5 syllable pattern. They had a wonderful time tapping into their creativity.

To wrap up the unit, each student proudly shared their Haiku with the class. This was a fun and inspiring way to celebrate their hard work!

There might be snow on the ground, but we're STILL thinking about all the fun our students at Lincoln Elementary had the day before Thanksgiving break.

Our 3rd and 4th-grade students went from classroom to classroom, taking part in different holiday-themed activities. In Mrs. Grizzell's room, students enjoyed snacks and learned about dinner etiquette. This included being distraction-free at the table, especially from electronic devices, giving people turns to talk, and listening when others are speaking!

We sure hope our kiddos put these best practices to use during their Thanksgiving meal!
