5th grade students met with their 8th grade WEB Leaders during flex time at the end of the day on Friday. They completed some activities emphasizing the importance of focus and attention in the classroom—specifically about drowning out distractions and learning not to become a distraction themselves.
WEB stands for “Where Everyone Belongs,” and it is a middle school transition and leadership program that pairs 8th grade student leaders with 5th grade students to help them feel welcomed, connected, and supported throughout the school year.

Today's (9/10) Baseball and Softball games have been moved to the Oasis Sports Complex at 4:00pm. Softball will play in the Integrity Dome and Baseball will be on the fields.

Time Change Update: Baseball and softball games at home tomorrow have been changed to 4pm start times.
Mrs. Williford's 8th-grade Social Studies students are participating in the Disabled Veterans Field of Flags program.
Her class will be collecting donations from the community to sponsor flags in honor of our deserving veterans. During the week of Veterans Day, students will have the special opportunity to set up our very own Field of Flags right here at school.
We are so grateful for your support as our school and community come together to recognize and honor our disabled veterans.

Exciting News for JC Youth
Little Indians Boys & Girls Basketball League is Back! 🏀
Registration is officially opening for students in Kindergarten through 6th Grade!
The season runs from September through mid-December (wrapping up right before Christmas). We understand that several players participate in fall sports; please note that fall sports take priority over this league until those seasons conclude.
Season Details:
Practices: Held weekday evenings between 6:00 PM and 8:30 PM (20+ practices anticipated throughout the season).
Games: 20+ games across multiple local leagues.
Locations: Games will be held in Johnston City gyms, as well as West Frankfort and Harrisburg (hosted by the Harrisburg Youth League).
Halftime Showcase: Youth teams will get to showcase their skills during halftime at every home High School Boys Basketball game (2–4 teams per night)!
Following the rec season, players can also look forward to Travel Tribe opportunities.
