Johnston City High School Graduation Update We have been closely monitoring the forecast in collaboration with the National Weather Service in Paducah regarding the potential for severe weather on Friday evening that could impact our graduation ceremony. To ensure the safety of our students, families, and staff, we are rescheduling the high school graduation ceremony for Saturday, May 17th, at 7:00 p.m. We believe this change provides the best opportunity to celebrate our graduates without the concern of inclement weather. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility as we prioritize the safety and experience of our school community. Note: Graduation practice is still set for Friday, May 16th at 10 a.m.

It's National School Nurse Day, recognizing and thanking school nurses for their crucial role in supporting the health and well-being of students. Here at the Johnston City School District were are fortunate to have two AMAZING nurses. Mary Johanson is a Registered Nurse, and she's been looking over our students for nearly two decades. Her 20th anniversary will be September 2025! Tara Burton is a Licensed Practical Nurse, who was hired during the pandemic. She's stationed at Washington Middle School and has two children attending Johnston City Schools.
