It's the last day of Underground Spirit Week at Jefferson Elementary School.
We showed you how creative staff and teachers got with "Anything But A Cup" Day on Monday.

All schools have early dismissal today, Friday March 7th, with our elementary schools and middle school letting out at 1:50 p.m. High School students will be dismissed at 2 p.m.
Spring Break is March 10th -14th. 😎😎
We'll return on St. Patrick's Day with a full day of classes, so be sure to wear your green! 🍀

High School Art Teacher Melissa Fiedler is sharing more pictures of the High School Art Club at Jefferson Elementary.
During the recent visit, students were able to work together on creative projects focused on endangered and extinct animals!
The elementary kids were so enthusiastic and came up with some fantastic ideas.






Our 1st grade students have been studying about Space in their reading unit in Astronomy.
The teachers have done a fantastic job incorporating science into their reading lessons. As you can see, students have loved it!

This time last week, we held our Pre-K Valentine craft workshop for parents and students.
As you can see, we had a great turn out and everyone really enjoyed participating with their child!








The High School Art Club is active at the middle school and elementary schools helping to give educational art lessons.

School bus drivers Patricia Mueller and Tonnie Nordmeyer have nearly 50 years of combined service to the Johnston City School District.
They get up dark and early each school week because they love the families on their route and making sure students get to school safely.
