Lincoln Elementary celebrated students who went detention-free during the school year's 3rd quarter! Our 3rd and 4th grade students had a wonderful time at Herrin Bowl on Friday from trying to get a strike to playing in the arcade and chatting over some snacks! 🏆 Lincoln Elementary is the 4th Grade Brain Games Champions. 🏆 We're so proud of our team team, who went to competition at Rend Lake College today 🧠📚 They dressed in clothing inspired by the 30s and 40s since that's the content of their testing. Brain Games is a friendly competition that provides a structured academic atmosphere filled with creative thinking and problem solving exercises. Student teams navigate an array of hands-on activities, questions, and challenges across the curriculum of Math, Science, Social Studies, Language Arts, and the Arts.

The Scholastic Book Fair kicks off tomorrow that's Tuesday, March 25th. Your child can purchase books during school hours through Friday, March 28th. The book fair will have extended hours on Friday for our Spring Open House from 5 to 7 p.m. This event is a major fundraiser for our school with profits going right back to supporting our students with PBIS Incentives: 🌸 Rental of facilities for our good behavior parties 🌸 Transportation costs to get there and back 🌸 Rentals at the end of the year for field day 🌸 Special assemblies

We sent home raffle tickets for our two large raffle items -- a $100 gift card and a PS5 with a network card. 📚 We're SO excited for our Scholastic Book Fair kicking off next Tuesday, March 25th. 📚 Students can purchase books all week during school hours. The book fair will have extended hours on Friday, March 28th during our Spring Open House from 5 - 7 p.m. The Spring Open House is the perfect opportunity for some family fun, and for parents to connect with school staff! It's free entry and there will be plenty of games. Today, we're highlighting Mr. Smith, who has a deep passion for music education and years of experience as a band director.
