It's School Social Worker Week, and we're recognizing all of our social workers starting with Sierra Lee. This week is a time to appreciate the profound impact our school social workers have on our school community. Sierra, and all of our social workers, tirelessly provides emotional support, guidance, and resources that enhance our students’ academic and personal growth. #SSWWeek2025

JCHS Med Lab students stopped by Lincoln Elementary school yesterday teaching 3rd and 4th kids the life-saving technique of Hands-Only CPR. The high schoolers did an incredible job breaking down the process into easy-to-follow steps, ensuring that everyone understood the importance of staying calm and acting quickly in an emergency. 🚑

School bus drivers Patricia Mueller and Tonnie Nordmeyer have nearly 50 years of combined service to the Johnston City School District. They get up dark and early each school week because they love the families on their route and making sure students get to school safely. We APPRECIATE Patricia and Tonnie, and all of bus drivers! “I love my kids and their families. I’m driving kids whose parents I drove when they were kids.” Love the Bus month continues, and today we recognize Patricia Mueller. Some of her fondest memories are driving former football coach Mike Rude and his players to games. We appreciate Patricia and all of our bus drivers for getting our students to and from school safely. For that we say, THANK YOU!
