Last day of school 2025
Students might be getting a break for our Memorial Day holiday, but they were busy last week with end-of-the-year activities. Our 3rd and 4th grade students at Lincoln Elementary enjoyed extra STEM time with Mr. Carver last week. These students were able to use Knex to make objects along with the 3D pens! We think STEM rules!

Ms. Jennings gave her final lesson in the same classroom where she once sat as a kindergartner on her first day of school. Thank you, Ms. Jennings, for your years of dedication to our students! There could only be ONE student winner in the fierce competition of Rock, Paper, Scissors at Lincoln Elementary School. Congratulations to Kynzlee for being named as this year's 4th grade GRAND CHAMPION! This annual competition is so much fun, even the teachers wanted in on the action. Mrs. Fort and Ms. Devine won the teacher playoff!

Johnston City High School Graduation Update We have been closely monitoring the forecast in collaboration with the National Weather Service in Paducah regarding the potential for severe weather on Friday evening that could impact our graduation ceremony. To ensure the safety of our students, families, and staff, we are rescheduling the high school graduation ceremony for Saturday, May 17th, at 7:00 p.m. We believe this change provides the best opportunity to celebrate our graduates without the concern of inclement weather. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility as we prioritize the safety and experience of our school community. Note: Graduation practice is still set for Friday, May 16th at 10 a.m.

🎶 Learning about new instruments 🎶 Dr. Smith from our high school and middle school made a special visit to Lincoln Elementary. He spent time with each 4th grade classroom showing them instruments that the band plays and letting them get an up-close look. These students just learned some of the fundamentals of music on the Recorder and are now exploring more options. Our 4th grade students always look forward to Dr. Smith coming out and talking to them.
